A question about Monitor bottleneck?

So I have been debating on getting a 1080p monitor. I have at the moment an Asus Rog PG279QZ. It has started to give me issues again, I have replaced this monitor twice all ready. Its starting to flicker and show lines on the side again, the first one I got did the same after a few months of having it too.

Well I have a EVGA 2080 ti FTW3 gpu and a i9 9900k, so I am wondering if I get a 1080p high RF rate monitor will this cause issues with my gpu??

Dont get me wrong I like the 1440p but I have been reading about the 240hz monitors and I am very interested in getting one if it will not cause any issues with my set up?

Thanks in advance.

You won’t see an issue with 240Hz, but then again, that type of monitor is mainly used on the professional circuit, so it may not suit you

But if you like 1440p, I would just RMA the ROG PG279QZ and find another panel
