Power USB LEDs with molex connector

Hey guys, so I have an older motherboard with no RGB headers and only 2 fan headers both in use. I also have some USB LED strips used for TVs, monitors, and the like. When I plug the strip into the USB port they light up so I'd like to put these inside the case and I found this molex to USB adapter so I don't have to work the strip to outside the PC. Will something like this work? I know I won't be able to customize the LEDs with any software but I have a remote that will do me just fine. Link to the adapter is below. Also if you can think of a different solution that would be highly appreciated! Thanks!
